My mission is to provide academic support through one-on-one tutoring, small learning groups and summer camps, as well as offer a variety of resources for teachers, parents, and students.

About Me

My name is Kristen and I live with my fur baby Maisy. She is a black and white tuxedo cat who is very loving and snuggly. I have a sister, a half brother and half sister, and several nieces and nephews. I’ve been in education for over 10 years and in the 10 years that I have been working in the classroom I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and finally second grade for the last four years. I earned my teaching degree at Metropolitan University in Denver and I am certified in early childhood education with a masters in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

I recently made the decision to follow a dream of starting my own business. The year 2020 has caused a lot of uncertainty. My goal as an educator is to meet the needs of young families in an educational world that has dramatically changed. Schools will have to make adjustments and change is inevitable. Due to the pandemic, schools will encounter bumps which will create gaps in children’s education. As we carefully navigate this uncertain time, my hope is to intervene by filling in the gaps and offering my services in a variety of ways in order to meet the individual needs of parents and students. This means individual and small group tutoring, assistance with homeschool (providing targeted help), resources, and summer sessions.

“It’s been refreshing to find an educator who strikes the right balance of warmth, patience, and firm direction our energetic 4 and 7 year old boys require. Having Kristen as a resource during a time when our children have been thrust into an unfamiliar and isolated situation has been wonderful and we’d recommend her to anyone!”

“We have been using Kristen as a tutor for the past couple years. She always has fun, creative lessons planned that make learning for my daughter enjoyable. She uses a range of different exercises and games and my daughter looks forward to her weekly sessions. We have recommended friends to Kristen and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor. ”

“Kristen was referred to me from a friend and I feel very lucky that she was available to tutor my daughter. My daughter has struggled with reading and writing. Kristen is very patient and she uses fun learning techniques. I have seen a difference in the reading and writing ability of my daughter. I would strongly recommend Kristen to others.”
